Our main researcher, Ellen Sutherland, nee Grant, has been researching her own family history for some 5 years (all lines from the north of Scotland) and that of others for some 3 years. She has built up a wealth of personal knowledge and experience, and has
studied with the University of Toronto for their Certificate in Genealogical Studies, now almost completed.

In the course of her own research, and with the welcome assistance of fellow researchers, Ellen has established, with documented evidence, that she is:

• 7th cousin to William and Harry Windsor, sons of Prince Charles and his first wife, Lady Diana Spencer

• 21st great granddaughter to Robert the Bruce, King of Scotland, b.1274 – d.1329

Although Ellen focuses mainly on Scottish research, she is fully competent and has experience in all British research, as well as American, Australian, New Zealand, European and specific Jewish research. Wherever your family come from or go to, they can usually be traced!

Ellen is also undertaking a one-name study of the surname PACKMAN (in memory of her great great grandmother Jane Packman 1865-1936), which is registered with www.one-name.org.
Any contributions to the mammoth task of compiling information on every Packman family worldwide would be gratefully received!
